Our Story

Hi! We are Cole, Ambryn, and children! A Christian family in the Denver area who are passionate about the local church, raising our children in the Lord, supporting organic and regenerative farming practices, a biblical understanding of the current world, and making tasty, nourishing food!

Cole was born in Boulder and raised in a small town in Northern Colorado. He spent his young days in a field behind his house, climbing trees, building forts, and generally engaging in shenanigans with his brother and his childhood friends. He came to a saving knowledge of Jesus as Christ after high school, though raised in a Christian home, and has since been providentially discipled by a number of godly men and women leading him to a historic and biblical faith in God through Christ and a deep appreciation for the local church.

He works as a mechanical engineer on activated carbon production facilities, biodigestion gas plants, solar cell manufacturing plants, and who knows what else! He is passionate about wisely subduing the earth in accordance with God’s command by stewarding and managing God’s world for God’s glory. He spends his free time reading 400 year old books, playing with his children, Watson and Shiloh, and playing pickup basketball. He loves God, his family, his church, and his neighbors; all by God’s Grace.

Ambryn was born in Florida and moved around some before landing in Boise, ID where she grew up. She was raised by her mother and helped her mom raise her three younger brothers. Life in Boise wasn’t always (never?) stable and Ambryn sought her outlet and prize in academic, athletic, and social success. But by God’s providence a friend invited her to a church camp when she was 13 and there heard the gospel for the first time. She put her faith in Christ to forgive her for her sins and was made a new creation (2 Cor 5:21)! Since then she has been walking with God and He hasn’t left her!

She is now a mom of two little boys, homemaker, and for some reason has an engineering degree. She loves reading and now mostly focuses on metabolic health, permaculture, and theology. She will share the gospel that saved her with anyone who will listen and is increasingly enjoying the Lord’s Day with the Lord’s people. Her children are the delight of her days, her husband is the love of her life, and her God is the joy of her heart. Though some days are better than others.

Shiloh entered the world through a chaotic series of events and continues to breed chaos. His brother John Watson came along a short 14 months later. We need God’s help everyday to help us figure out how to point these two to Christ.

And yet, we hope our family continues to grow. Join us as we share our lives, imperfect and glorious as they are, with you.

Soli Deo Gloria.
